Our History
About Mathiasen Machinery
Mathiasen Machinery, Inc. was founded in 1983 by William “Bill” Mathiasen. At that time, Bill had over 30 years of experience in the wire and cable industry with Syncro Machinery, Hudson Wire Company, and Anaconda Wire and Cable.
Mark Mathiasen joined the company as sales engineer one year later. The growing company moved from a home operation in 1988 when the East Haddam warehouse and office location was purchased. In 1993, Michael Mathiasen was hired as sales engineer and Mark was promoted to Vice President.
Bill retired in 1996, and his two sons assumed daily operation of the company. Mark was promoted to President and Michael to Vice President. Bill passed away on October 7, 2008 at the age of 77. His spirit remains.
